To convert a Google Doc to Word, click on File in Google Docs and scroll down to Download. Select Microsoft Word (.docx). A Word document version of your Google Doc will appear as a download on the bottom left of the screen.
When you click on the Word document, you can click Enable Editing to continue writing or save the document to your computer.
