Resources for Faculty at Estelle M. Black Library

For assistance navigating any of the resources in this guide, locating OER, or adopting OER for your classroom, please contact your partners at the Estelle M. Black Library. Also, consider how the library can be leveraged to keep materials affordable for your students.

  • Teach your students about library databases and interlibrary loaning. Your students should never have to pay for access to research. Peer-reviewed, scholarly publications can be found using EMB Library's many databases. Articles that are unavailable through our databases may be requested via interlibrary loan.
  • Search the EMB Library's catalog for your course materials. Does the library offer all the materials your students need to succeed in your course? If not, use this form to let us know what we can purchase so your students don't have to.
  • Are there expensive textbooks or other books that you rely on too much to give up? Make sure your students can access those materials for free by sending a copy to the library and filling out this form for inclusion in our Reserves Collection. And visit the Reserves Collection in person at our circulation desk to browse our library of print OER textbooks by OpenStax.
